Manchester United and Manchester City 'among contenders to sign Sergio Ramos'

According to reports Manchester United and Manchester City are in the race to sign free agent centre-back Sergio Ramos.

Madrid state on Wednesday that experience defender Ramos will quit the Bernabeu at the end of the month.

A statement from the club read: "Real Madrid announces that tomorrow, Thursday 17 June, at 12:30 pm, an act of tribute and farewell to our captain Sergio Ramos will be held, which will be attended by our president Florentino Perez.

"Sergio Ramos will then appear before the media in a virtual press conference."

Ramos has played for Los Blancos the past fifteen and one year, but the two parties failed to agree terms on a new clause.

The spain international is hope-for to have a number of top clubs to select from in terms of his future career. although his wage could turn-out a problem for many.

AS reported that United and City are two teams capable to pay Ramos's salary demands, and the two teams are both in battle to sign the Spaniard.

moreover, Paris Saint-Germain are another intended buyer. Ramos believed has no interest going back to his former side Sevilla
