The Ghana Football Association issued a statement regarding Thomas Partey's absence from the Black Stars ahead of Tuesday's friendly against Morocco.

Early Monday morning it was learned that the 27-year-old man had been sacked due to his late arrival at the camp.

The GFA has finally issued an official statement regarding Thomas Partey's absence from Black Stars Camp.

According to the Football Association, the Arsenal midfielder has requested permission to miss out due to personal matters.

Source: UGC - FA Statement, "Thomas travelled to Cape Coast on Thursday to meet Coach Charles Akonnor over some personal issues.

"After the meeting which lasted for about an hour, the Coach excused him from the trip to Morocco – and asked him to report to camp for the second game against Ivory Coast," the statement on the FA's website indicated.

Thomas Partey is a midfielder who has played 24 Premier League games this season, playing a total of 1,535 minutes. Thomas Partey receives an average of 0.12 assists for every 90 minutesThomas Partey has scored a total of 0 goals in the league this season.
