According to a report Chelsea have declared West Ham United playmaker Declan Rice their potential midfield transfer target.
The Champions League winners are as yet to dip into the market this season, but are eager on supporting their options in the middle of the squard as they look to amend past summer's fourth-placed finish in the Premier League.
However, The Mirror now reports that the Blues are set to reignited their pursuit in a deal once more.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano said on Twitch: "At the moment, Chelsea's priority in midfield is Declan Rice.
"If they will sign a midfielder, Declan Rice will be one of the biggest possibilities.
"Then, they have to find an agreement with West Ham, and it won't be easy because West Ham are asking for a lot of money for him."
