Real Madrid are eager to rehire Luis Campos this season in order to boost up their chances of bringing Paris Saint-Germain Stricker Kylian Mbappe to Bernabeu
However, Marca reported that Los Blancos want to bring Campos back to the Spanish capital due to his good relationship with Mbappe.
Campos was a scout at Real Madrid throughout the 2012-13 season before move to become Monaco's sporting director, where he worked with a young Mbappe.
The 56-year-old left Lille at the end of 2020 and is now out of job, and Real Madrid are said to be hopeful of rehiring the Portuguese to aid their chances of signing the World Cup winner from PSG.
Mbappe has netted 132 goals and registered 61 assists in 171 outings for his French club in all competitions, but he found it difficult to make his mark at Euro 2020.
