Transfer News: Lewandowski to Chelsea, Manchester United to increase Lisandro Martinez, Antony offers

Manchester United to increase Lisandro Martinez, Antony offers'

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has reportedly urged the club to increase their offers for Ajax duo Lisandro Martinez and Antony.

The Red Devils are understood to have had an opening offer of €50m (£42m) rejected by the Eredivisie champions for centre-back Martinez, while they have also seen a €60m (£51m) bid for forward Antony rebuffed.

A recent report has claimed that United have now discovered the valuation of both players, with Ajax wanting €60m (£50.8m) for Martinez and €80m (£67.8m) for Antony

According to The Times, Ten Hag is now pressing United to make improved offers for the pair, while both players are also hoping to force through a move to Old Trafford.

Lewandowski 'open to Chelsea move if Barca deal falls through'

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski would reportedly be open to joining either Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain if his preferred move to Barcelona falls through.

Barca president Joan Laporta recently revealed to the media that the club had tabled an opening offer for Lewandowski which was quickly rebuffed by Bayern, and the Catalan outfit are allegedly planning to make an improved bid of €50m (£42m).

Should Barca's deal for Lewandowski fail to materialise, however, Bild journalist Christian Falk claims that both Chelsea and PSG will enter the race for his signature and a move to Stamford Bridge would be the striker's preferred destination if he is unable to move to Camp Nou.
