Father (55) told me (15F) that he isn't going to buy me pads if I need them and instead should use the diapers that are for my grandmother. For more context, he's living at a hotel, and I would do this without an issue, but he has money for utilities and all that stuff.
I live with my mother but I am spending a week with him, and I don't have a stable period schedule. So i told him there is like a 70% chance that I might start this week, and he could prepare to get me some pads. He said what about the ones I bought you last time, and I told him I took them back to my mothers so I could use them there.
And I was also not comfortable leaving my pads at the hotel since they are personal. He said that he wasn't going to buy them and instead should use the diapers that my grandmother has. I said I wasn't going to do that since I need specific ones, and he said it's just the same thing. I made an alternative that I could just contact my mother to drop them off at the hotel, and he made a fit saying that I could go ahead and do that because he's not going to do anything about it. He also said that I should just wear the diapers since it's just him and my brother (18) at the hotel, but I am not comfortable knowing that they both know I am wearing a diaper, nor am I very close with both of them.
So now I am just wondering if I should suck it up and use the diapers, or contact my mother to drop them off if I need them. My father tells me that he took a college class back in his days about a woman's body and that he probably knows more about the women's body than women themselves. I don't know if I am overreacting or if my father just needs help.
