Jack de Belin's legal team says NSW's public prosecutors will not pursue a third trial against the NRL player.

Earlier this month, de Belin and his friend Callan Sinclair were found not guilty of one of six charges related to the alleged sexual assault of a woman in Wollongong.
The jury was unable to reach a verdict on the five other charges.
It was the second hung jury on the charges against the pair.
De Belin, who plays for St George Illawarra, and Mr Sinclair were accused of raping a 19-year-old woman in a North Wollongong unit after meeting her in a nightclub in December 2018.
De Belin's lawyer Robert Foster confirmed NSW Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) today wrote to his client to inform him it would not proceed with a third trial.
"For all intents and purposes, this means the charges have been dropped and the matter is at an end," Mr Foster said.
"The presumption of innocence remains intact," he said.
De Belin and Mr Sinclair both maintained their innocence throughout the proceedings.

The NRL this afternoon said de Belin would be eligible to play for the remainder of the 2021 season when charges are formally withdrawn.
The forward has been sidelined from playing for St George Illawarra since he was charged by police.
He was the first player to be stood down under the Australian Rugby League Commission's "no-fault stand down" policy.
The rule requires players to be benched while they stand accused of serious crimes.
NRL CEO Andrew Abdo said the policy had ensured de Belin continued to receive support from his club and earn an income from the game.
"This is an example of our processes working," Mr Abdo said.

"Jack continued to be employed by the club and was able to extend his contract with the Dragons during the process.
"The rule worked as it should.
"Once there are no longer charges against him, Jack will be free to play."
Mr Abdo has also ruled out reviewing the policy.
"We've had this matter tested in the Federal Court," he said.
"We've gone through an arbitration process with the players's association and on both counts we've found the no-fault policy is fair and reasonable, and certainly in the best interest of the game."
Dragons CEO Ryan Webb said the dropping of charges was a "relief" and "concluded a tumultuous period for all involved".

Mr Webb said the club and de Belin were ready to move forward.
"We're hoping that his contract will be registered tomorrow," he said.
"He will be able to play reserve grade on Saturday against the West Magpies. He'll join the first grade squad for training from next week and he will be able to play from then."
The Dragons confirmed that de Belin will remain at the club until at least the end of the 2023 season.
In a statement to the ABC, the DPP reaffirmed its ruling.
"In circumstances where two juries were unable to agree upon a verdict, the Director of Public Prosecutions has determined not to proceed to a third trial against Jack de Belin and Callan
Sinclair," a spokesperson said.
