Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta: 'We cannot feel sorry for ourselves'

Who should be blamed for Arsenal woeful performance oh yes some folks out there will definitely cast all the blame on Arteta but let's be honest compare Chelsea squad the quality in each department to Arsenal squad. So, Arteta can't do much about those average players he has.

However, Mikel Arteta has insisted that his side cannot feel sorry for themselves following Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.

Speaking to Sky Sports News after the game, Arteta said: "Feeling sorry for yourself does not help. You have to face the challenge, face the criticism. It will come, we are Arsenal Football Club, you have to win every game.

"We need to keep the togetherness. The spirit the team showed in the second half even when losing 2-0 and knowing that it is really difficult to beat a team like them, but we did not give up."

Arsenal - with zero points from their opening two league matches - now prepare for another daunting battle with champions Manchester City on August 28 after their EFL Cup tie with West Bromwich Albion in midweek.
