However, Mikel Arteta has insisted that his side cannot feel sorry for themselves following Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.
Speaking to Sky Sports News after the game, Arteta said: "Feeling sorry for yourself does not help. You have to face the challenge, face the criticism. It will come, we are Arsenal Football Club, you have to win every game.
"We need to keep the togetherness. The spirit the team showed in the second half even when losing 2-0 and knowing that it is really difficult to beat a team like them, but we did not give up."
