⛩️“My mission was just to keep going out and grabbing as many people as I can and to just keep going,” said 27-year-old Jay Withey, who helped 24 people stuck on the side of the road during the blizzard. “I just kept walking, and I walked until I cried and I couldn’t walk any further. I was just beat.”

⛩️A Southern California sheriff’s deputy was shot and killed by a man with a violent criminal history during a traffic stop and the suspect later died in a shootout on a freeway, authorities said.

⛩️Alexandra Eckersley was accused of abandoning her newborn infant in a tent “without heat or proper clothing in the woods” in 15-degree weather, according to charging documents.
